Germany - Black Forest

Black Forest - Germany - Viking River

Sure, visiting the Black Forest in Germany was an incredible experience for me. As I ventured through this enchanting region, I was captivated by the lush greenery and towering pine trees that surrounded me. The air was crisp and fresh, carrying with it the earthy scent of the forest floor.One of the highlights of my trip was exploring the picturesque villages dotted throughout the Black Forest.  Learning about Cuckoo Clocks, tasting a piece of Black Forest Cake and watching a resident Glass Blower do incredible work - it was all so fascinating.  

Learning about the region's history, who occupied it and when, how truly powerful the region is in regards to rules that are still followed - my next adventure is taking a motorcycle and winding through the hilly roads - exploring from a different vantage point.

I visited the Black Forest Open Air Museum in Gutach, where I learned about the region's rich history and saw demonstrations of traditional crafts like cuckoo clock making. The craftsmanship and attention to detail were truly impressive.In the evenings, I relaxed in family-run guesthouses, enjoying hearty German meals and locally brewed beer. The hospitality of the locals made me feel at home, and I cherished the opportunity to immerse myself in their warm and welcoming culture.

Overall, my time in the Black Forest was nothing short of magical. It's a place where nature, culture, and history converge in a way that's both inspiring and rejuvenating.
